I wish you all a very Happy New Year!
I love New Year’s Day. It is a day that we put the past year behind us and start fresh. It is a day full of optimism and hope. Many people set resolutions this day for the following year. I try to set goals, but specific and nebulous.
Specifically, there are a few foodie goals I have in mind, and I want to share those with you because I know you will keep me honest and make me do them. First, I want to make a rolled cake – you know like a jelly roll or pumpkin roll. I have never done this, but my recent experience rolled Christmas cookies, has inspired me. I also want to make caneles. I have wanted to make them for years, and I think this will be the year.
Now for the more nebulous goals. I really have no specifics here, but I want to eat healthier and use less processed foods. Both of these are things I have been working on, but they still need work, so the goal here is not specific – just to improve. And, of course, I will share these improvements with you!
Do you make goals or resolutions at the start of a new year? If so, what are they?
I will also be working on goals not just personal, but for From Calculus to Cupcakes. So, with that in mind, is there anything you would like to see more of?
