Ok, so yesterday I posted about my Blue Cheese Coleslaw, and today, I’m still on blue cheese. This is still the wing meal. Even though we had the awesome coleslaw, we just had to have some blue cheese dressing for dipping. This is honestly the best blue cheese dressing I have ever had. Oh my goodness, I just can’t stay out of it. It is times like these that I wonder why I ever buy salad dressing. I mean, it only takes a few minutes to throw some homemade together, and it is soooooo much better!
The recipe is not exactly the same as the dressing used on the coleslaw, but it is close. I really like mustard in my coleslaw, so I had to add that to the coleslaw recipe. And, there are a few other changes in amounts too. Coleslaw dressing needs to be a bit thinner to coat the vegetables well, so it is not quite the same, but not all that different either.
Homemade Blue Cheese Salad Dressing
Ingredients
- 4 oz. blue cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Instructions
- Stir together all ingredients until well combined.
- Refrigerate until serving. It is better to wait and hour or so to serve because the flavors are better combined, but it is still good right away.
