Well, I am finally trying to get back to healthy eating. Smoothies are great for healthy eating because they are high in fruits and sometimes vegetables, but usually low in fat and added sugar. This orange dream smoothie is delicious and kept me from getting hungry for hours. And, it is super flavorful. The protein from the yogurt and fiber from the oatmeal are responsible for keeping the hunger at bay, while the orange juice concentrate and vanilla pack a powerful flavor punch.
This recipe makes two large servings. I used an immersion blender, but I really think a regular blender would have been faster and easier. The orange juice concentrate adds enough sweetness for most people, but it you would like it a bit sweeter, feel free to add a little of your sweetener of choice. Hope you enjoy!
Orange Dream Smoothie
- 1 cup orange juice concentrate, frrozen
- 2 cups fat free Greek yogurt
- 1/3 rolled oats
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- Blend all ingredients together with a blender until smooth and well combined.
- Serve immediately.
