This delicious way to prepare spinach comes from my husband who was taught to make it by his mother. The preparation is quite unusual in that frozen spinach is chopped, while still frozen, with a Salad Master. If you don’t have a Salad Master, I am sure you could use some other chopping device, but it really is very useful machine to have. It also uses Maggie Seasoning, which is apparently a frequently used seasoning in many other parts of the world – including Germany where his mother was from. Despite the recipe only having one tablespoon of butter, it seems almost like creamed spinach. Hope you enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1 10 oz. package frozen spinach
- 1 Tbsp. salted butter
- 1 tsp. Maggi seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Using a “food Chopper” chop frozen spinach to a fine consistency.
- Place in a 2 to 4 qt pot with a tight fitting lid over medium heat. I use a “waterless” stainless steel pot.
- Add the butter, Maggi, salt and pepper stirring as the spinach is heated. Once the spinach is hot simmer for 20 minute stir occasionally, check back often to keep it from burning.
